The service works by taking your order, sending it to the restaurant's kitchen device, and when accepted the courier is also notified. It all works through app technology.

In 2014 after 2 rounds of funding the startup had totalled $15 million from 9 investors. Today it is overseen by Paul Buchheit, Niko Hardy, and Harj Taggar.

Caviar Sells

Through its partnerships with restaurants across the United States Caviar gives you access to delivery for a wide variety of foods. From Steakhouses to Sushi Bars, to Pizza Places, and high end restaurants. To browse what's available simply check that they serve the city you live in and enter you address. A list of restaurants in your area will then be displayed and you can click through to their menu. Like a typical online store simply choose the food you want and checkout to make payment. 

Each establishment page will display their opening hours and estimated delivery times and once the order is placed you can check its progress and even monitor the delivery via realtime GPS. You can choose a delivery time from the available hours (if you are ordering in advance) or select ASAP delivery which means it will be delivered as soon as the restaurant can get it cooked.

Your Caviar coupon code can be applied to any restaurant as it comes from Caviar itself not individual establishments.

Payment Methods

Caviar accepts all common credit and debit cards for payment including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Once you have registered an account you details will be saved. You can update them at any time. 

In order to redeem a Caviar coupon code you must enter it in to the designated promo box just before payment. If valid you should see a confirmation message and your total order value drop according to the offer.

Shipping Options

Your Caviar food delivery is delivered by certified Caviar couriers, who are selected based on their proximity to you and the restaurant, to ensure the fastest possible time. You can even monitor the delivery via GPS within the app or website. The cost of delivery ranges from $1.99 to $6.99, depending on how far away from the establishment your address is. From time to time they will run a free or discounted delivery deal which you can redeem with an associated Caviar promo code.

Return Policy

Because it's a cooked food delivery service Caviar will not process a refund or reorder unless there is something expressly wrong with food or service. If you are not home at the time of delivery the courier will wait 10 minutes before returning to work. In this case you will not be issued a refund and your order is considered forfeited. The courier will however try to contact you and leave the order on the doorstep or other safe place at your request.

If you received the wrong order you can contact Caviar right away who will investigate the situation and redeliver if warranted. If the food is not to your satisfaction you may be eligible for a refund. Obviously if you have used any trycaviar coupon codes to get a discount this portion will be excluded from the refund.
