About Kay Jewelers
Kay was founded in 1916 in Reading, Pennsylvania, by brothers Sol and Edmund Kaufmann. Originally they offered jewelry and other products, such as glasses, electric razors, kitchen wares, and other home items.
In 1990 Sterling Jewelers acquired Kay and then Signet acquired its parent company Zale, bringing Kay along with it.
Today Kay has stores in all 50 US states branded as either Kay Jewelers or Kay Outlet.
Kay Jewelers Sells
Kay's full product range can be found at the online store at Kay.com, easily separated in to categories. These include common pieces such as necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, and watches. There are also pages for bridal jewelry (wedding bands, engagement rings, gifts, and more), sale items, and personalized jewelry.
Available materials include gold, sterling silver, pearl, diamond, gemstones, platinum, and other metals. There are also charms such as birthstones, glass, lovestones, and licensed Disney designs.
Product listings can be refined by price range, material, popularity, color, stone shape, and other parameters depending on the category. You can also use the searchbar via keywords or catalog item number, the latter which will take you directly to the product page for fast checkout.
If you're looking to buy somebody some jewelry but aren't sure what to get you can always buy a Kay Gift Card (values from $25 to $500) so the recipient can make their own choices. These can either be delivered as a traditional plastic card or vial email as an eGift Card.
Kay also offer their own credit line.
Payment Methods
You can pay for your Kay purchases using most common credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover); as well as their own branded gift cards for all or part of your order, or the Kay credit plan which can be applied for online.
You can send checks for mail order purchases.
