about Brookstone
Brookstone was founded in 1965 in Peterborough, New Hampshire by Pierre de Beaumont and his wife Marry, as a mail order catalog supplying hard to find tools and problem solving items. It wouldn't be until 1972 that they would open their first retail outlet. As their number of stores expanded, they began to add more and more products that covered all areas of the home.
The online store first went live in 1997 and is now a key generator of sales. Chinese company Sanpower bought Brookstone for around $173 million in 2014, and they are believed to be making millions in yearly revenue.
The company is also a big supporter of charities backing Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. They have also donate a small sum to Save the Children whenever a customer signs up to the store with their email address.
Tom Via currently serves as CEO of the company.
Brookstone Sells
Brookstone's inventory covers many typical homeware products, although they tend to focus on rarer novelty items and gadgets. The website is very easy to use, allowing customers to browse via categories or use the search bar if they have something specific in mind. Here they can enter an item number from the catalog to go directly to the product page for fast checkout.
There is also a dedicated page for Sale items, though you can make even more savings by redeeming a Brookstone discount coupon code. Unless otherwise stated these can be used for products in any of the following categories:
Electronics, Massagers, Home Furnishings & Decor, Furniture, Outdoors, Toys & Games, Travel & Luggage, Bathroom & Beauty, Bar Supplies, and Gifts.
All categories features subcategories (such as Apple products under Electronics) and product listings can be easily refined by price range, color and other features, popularity and many other parameters. There are also helpful user reviews and ratings to help you make your purchasing decisions.
If you are buying gifts but aren't sure what to get, you can always purchase a gift card (values between $10 and $500) so the recipient can decide for themselves.
